Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How do I import DICOM files?

Tap the "+" button in the app to create a new chart, then select a folder containing your DICOM files. You may need to transfer the DICOM files to your iPhone or iPad first using the Files app or AirDrop.

Q. What DICOM files are supported?

Chartrix supports standard DICOM format files including CT, MRI, and ultrasound. Both single-frame and multi-frame DICOM files are supported.

Q. 3D volume rendering is not showing

Volume rendering works best with CT data that has a sufficient number of consecutive slices (30 or more recommended). If there is only a single slice or too few slices, 3D rendering may not be displayed.

Q. Where can I use USDZ models?

Generated USDZ files can be viewed directly in AR Quick Look, or shared via the Files app for use in 3D printing software or Keynote/Pages presentations.

Q. Is my data safe?

Yes. All data is stored and processed on your device only. When iCloud is enabled, data syncs securely between your devices via your private iCloud account. There is no third-party server access. Deleting the app removes all local data.

Q. Does the app sync across devices?

Yes. When signed into iCloud, your charts, studies, and DICOM files sync automatically across iPhone, iPad, and Mac. CloudKit handles metadata and iCloud Drive syncs the files.

Q. Can I use this app for diagnosis?

No. Chartrix is a Reference Only viewer. It cannot be used for clinical diagnosis or treatment decisions. All measurements and renderings are provided for informational purposes only.
